Irvine Valley's men's basketball team couldn't get enough going offensively and lost to Saddleback, 57-47, in Orange Empire Conference action Wednesday night at home.
It was the third win for the Gauchos over the Lasers this season.
Saddleback, which is ranked No. 4 in the state, also claimed the Presidents' Cup trophy for the college with the win.
Irvine Valley (12-10, 3-5) shot just 30.2 percent as a team in the contest.
The Lasers made just 16 field goals in the game.
Saddleback led almost the entire game.
Irvine Valley's only lead came just two minutes into the contest when sophomore guard Anthony Hernandez made a jumper to put the Lasers up, 4-2.
But Saddleback's Colin Ferrier made a three-pointer with 16:16 left in the first half to put Saddleback up for good.
The Gauchos led 27-22 at the half and were up by as many 15 points in the second half.
Saddleback shot 48.0 percent (24 of 50) for the game.
The Gauchos were paced by Breaon Brady, who had 14 points, 13 rebounds and two blocked shots.
Nick Crankshaw finished with 10 points and six rebounds and T.J. Shorts added seven points, five rebounds and nine assists.
Irvine Valley, which saw its record slip to 12-11 overall and 3-5 in conference, got 14 points and three steals from sophomore forward Zach Harvey, and seven points each from sophomore guards Mike Turner and Anthony Hernandez. Turner also had five rebounds and three assists.
Freshman forward Lance Coleman II was held to four points. He contributed nine rebounds.
Irvine Valley plays again on Friday when it travels to Fullerton.
