Irvine Valley's men's basketball team finished its own tournament with a third-place win on Saturday.
The Lasers ended their own Irvine Valley Classic with a 77-58 win over American River.
IVC was hoping to be in the championship final, but lost a tough game to eventual tournament champion on Friday night to Ventura.
Irvine Valley made the most of its final game in the tourney.
The Lasers out-scored American River from Northern California by 11 points in the first half and eight points in the second half to come away with the win to move their record to 5-2 overall.
This was the second time Irvine Valley has come in third-place in an eight-team tourney this year.
Freshman guard Isaiah Mahmud finished with 12 points to pace five players that scored in double figures for Irvine Valley.
And freshman forward Cameron Griffin contributed nine points and four rebounds.
American River's record fell to 2-4 overall. The Beaves got 14 points and seven rebounds from Tommy Edwards.
Irvine Valley plays again in two weeks, competing against Hartnell in the Monterey Tournament on Nov. 30.
