Joe Supe is in his sixth year as the head coach of the Irvine Valley women's soccer program.
He led the Lasers to one of the best seasons in program history in 2014.
Irvine Valley finished with a record of 12-4-6 overall and 9-3-4 in the Orange Empire Conference for third place and also made the Southern California Regional Playoffs. It was the first time the Lasers made the playoffs in 20 years.
Irvine Valley had six players named all-Orange Empire Conference, including three to the first team. And standout defender Emely Portillo signed with Division 1 Louisiana-Monroe.
That all followed up a breakout 2013 campaign. IVC had a record 11-7-2 overall and 8-7-1 in conference.
Supe has vast experience with the sport.
He has been coaching at Tustin United Soccer Club for 15 years. Supe is presently the head coach for the Tustin High School boys program and was the men’s soccer assistant coach at Irvine Valley from 2009-11.
During the 2010 and 2011 seasons, the IVC men had a record of 27-12-4 with Supe's help.
He holds a US Soccer “A” License. Supe earned the “A” License from the Brazilian Football Federation and the NSCAA Premier Diploma Course. He has also completed the two year program for the UEFA A License.
