Cooper Uhl
Title: Assistant Coach

Born and raised in Mission Viejo, Uhl attended high school at Trabuco Hills where he played both varsity baseball and football.

He received a scholarship to play at Loyola Marymount University, was the starting catcher for four years.

While playing at LMU, he earned freshman all-conference, and as a sophomore, earned the West Coast Conference defensive player of the year and second team all-conference honors.

After a successful collegiate career, Uhl signed with the Oakland A’s in the 2020 draft and played full seasons making it to the AAA level.

He is entering his second year coaching at Irvine Valley, working primarily with the catchers and assisting with the hitters.

Uhl says his goal is to help give back to the game of baseball and these athletes.

"I want to help them reach a level where they are able to play at a four year level and continue their baseball careers way past IVC," Uhl said.
