The Irvine Valley men's soccer team was so very close during the 2024 season.
The Lasers finished with a record of 8-12-1 overall and went 6-7-1 in the Orange Empire Conference.
But IVC lost nine matches by one goal.
Irvine Valley was right there in so many contests.
The Lasers will look to turn their fortunes around this coming fall.
Under the guidance of coach Conor Ward, IVC has released its 2025 schedule.

Irvine Valley opens its 2025 schedule with a scrimmage at Concordia University on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 3:30 p.m.
The team's first official match will be on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at home against an always good El Camino team at 3 p.m.
The squad will then take its annual trip to the Hartnell Tournament on Aug. 29-30.
Other pre-OEC contests include match-ups with Southwestern, San Diego Mesa, Rio Hondo and Cuyamaca.
IVC starts its 14-match conference schedule against Orange Coast at home on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m.
And the Lasers finish up the regular season with a contest at Golden West at 3 p.m. on Nov. 14.
in 2024, IVC had four players named all-conference and Ward handed out individual awards at the end of the year.
Freshman midfielder Luke Newman and freshman forward Mason Tracey were each named first team all-Orange Empire Conference.
Sophomore midfielder Isaiah Ponce and freshman midfielder Cristian Sanchez were each picked second team all-OEC.
Newman was named the offensive player of the year for the Lasers and freshman defender Carter Cooper was selected as the squad's defensive player of the year.
The overall player of the year for IVC was Ponce.
