    Irvine Valley wins its opening game in the IVC Crossover, 74-30, Friday night. The Lasers led, 19-12, after the first quarter, and then out-scored Cerritos, 55-18, the rest of the way. IVC takes on Barstow Saturday at 6 p.m.
  • Women's basketball team picks up important road victory

    Irvine Valley, ranked No. 11 in the state, goes on the road and knocks off No. 5 Pasadena City, 66-52, Wednesday night. The Lasers go to 8-1 and hand PCC its first loss. Kaitlyn Luu leads the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Women's basketball drops first game, falls to LA Valley at home
    November 26, 2019
    Irvine Valley struggles shooting, still has its chances, but falls, 51-49, to LA Valley at home Tuesday. Anai Washington finishes with 22 points, 13 rebounds and three steals for IVC. The Lasers next play at Pasadena City.
  • Women's basketball team goes to 7-0 with big win at El Camino

    Irvine Valley, ranked No. 7 in So. Cal., improves its record to 7-0 overall after beating No. 12 El Camino, 62-40, on the road Friday night. The Lasers get 17 points, five rebounds and three steals from Anai Washington in the win.
  • Women's basketball team cruises on the road at Citrus
    November 21, 2019
    Irvine Valley defeats Citrus, 74-30, on the road Wednesday to improve to 6-0 overall. It was the second largest victory of the season for IVC. Anai Washington finishes with 22 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and three steals.
  • Women's basketball team stays unbeaten with win at Rio Hondo

    Irvine Valley, which was ranked No.7 in Southern California in the preseason coaches poll, goes on the road Friday night and defeats Rio Hondo, 88-66. Anai Washington had a special game with 29 points and 13 rebounds.
  • Women's basketball team routs two more opponents
    November 10, 2019
    Irvine Valley improves to 4-0 overall with a 29-point win over Saddleback on Thursday and then a 33-point victory over San Diego Mesa on Saturday in the Saddleback Crossover event. IVC plays again next Friday at Rio Hondo.
  • Women's basketball team beats Grossmont by 55 points
    November 02, 2019
    Irvine Valley dominates host Grossmont, 105-50, in its final game of the Grossmont Crossover on Saturday to move to 2-0 on the year. Katelyn Luu finishes with 20 points and Anai Washington adds 16 points and 11 rebounds.

    Irvine Valley had a tough test in its first game of the 2019-20 season and passed with flying colors. The Lasers, ranked No. 7 in the preseason So. Cal. Coaches Poll, defeated No. 6 East LA, 83-69, on Friday night at Grossmont.
  • Coach Julie Hanks headed into Yavapai College Hall of Fame
    October 17, 2019
    Julie Hanks, who is entering her 22nd season leading the Irvine Valley women's basketball team this fall, will go into the Yavapai College Hall of Fame on Saturday. She is already in the Northern Arizona University Hall of Fame.
  • No. 5 Story of the Year - Women's basketball keeps on rolling

    Irvine Valley's women's basketball team had another special season in 2018-19, winning 23 games, capturing its second straight Orange Empire Conference title and nearly making another state playoff appearance.

    Irvine Valley had several student-athletes win Orange Empire Conference MVP or player of the year awards as well as two-year honors from organizations around the state and country during the 2018-19 school year.
