Irvine Valley's women's beach volleyball team battled two more NCAA Division 1 schools on Monday afternoon.
Three days after hosting four-year programs Long Beach State, Concordia and Nebraska, the Lasers took on Oregon and Cal Poly.
The Lasers played right with Oregon before falling, 3-2. Cal Poly, ranked No. 6 in the nation, had too much for IVC in a 5-0 victory.
Against a tough Cal Poly squad, Ka'awaloa and Ramseyer had the closest match, losing, 21-12, 21-15, to Cal Poly's Torrey Van Winden and Tia Miril.
Irvine Valley's record went to 3-8 overall with seven of its losses coming to four-year schools.
Irvine Valley is back in action against community college rivals on Friday, Apr. 6. IVC will travel to Riverside for a four-way conference event against host Riverside, Fullerton and Saddleback.
