Irvine Valley all-Orange Empire Conference player and champion women's volleyball player Audrey Fowler has signed with NCAA Division I Tarleton State in Texas.
Fowler, out of San Clemente High, will compete for the Tarleton beach volleyball program.
She helped Irvine Valley to an indoor team Orange Empire Conference championship in the fall of 2023 and a trip to the state championship, a beach OEC team title in the spring of 2024 (the team went 14-0 in conference), as well as winning the conference pairs individual title with Natalia Brandlin last spring.
Fowler was named first team all-OEC last fall for the Lasers with indoor.
It was Fowler's second straight year being named to an all-conference team. She was a second-team libero after the 2023 season.
This past season, Fowler averaged 2.49 kills per set and 4.07 digs per set.
She ranked third in the OEC in digs per set and led the conference in total digs with 387.
This spring with beach, Fowler and her partner, sophomore Avery Bennett, are undefeated in conference play on the top court for the Lasers.
At San Clemente High, she was named the Most Valuable Player as a freshman.
She also earned a 4.0 GPA both her freshman and sophomore campaigns.
Fowler plans on studying journalism at Tarleton State University.
Tarleton, in Stephenville, Tex., competes in Conference USA for beach volleyball.
The team has a record of 5-11 overall so far this season.
