Women's beach player Nikki Korneff off to Hope International

Sophomore Irvine Valley women's indoor and beach volleyball player Nikki Korneff has committed to NAIA Hope International University in Fullerton.

Korneff started for the Lasers on the sand this past season and played mainly on the third court with freshman Emma Mendel and at the fourth position with sophomore Riley Seymer.

Korneff played two years (2023 and 2024) with the Laser indoor team and then two years with the beach volleyball team (2025 and 2026).

She helped the indoor team to a record of 22-5 during the 2023 season. IVC finished 13-3 in the conference, was co-champion of the OEC and made the semifinals at the 3C2A state tourament.

Korneff played in five matches for the Lasers.

During the 2024 season, Korneff competed in 22 matches, was third on the team with 26 aces and second on the squad with 324 digs.

IVC finished with a record of 9-15 overall and 9-7 in conference action.

With beach, the 5-6 player out of Yorba Linda High helped Irvine Valley to a record of 10-14 in the 2025 season and 5-19 mark this past year.

She is headed to a Hope International team that finished with a record of 7-16 overall this past season and went 6-8 in the Golden State Athletic Conference.
