Alumni Report: Nick Madole has strong season for the Eagles

Former Irvine Valley baseball standout Nick Madole had a solid year at NCAA Division II Biola University.

He played in 46 games and started 45 times for the Eagles this past season.

Biola finished with a record of 26-27 overall.

Madole batted .214 with a .633 OPS.

He also added 33 runs, walked 20 times and had 15 RBI.

Madole was the starting shortstop for the Lasers in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

He batted .279 overall with 41 hits, including three doubles, two home runs and 17 RBI on the year in 2023 for Irvine Valley.

Madole had a .403 on base percentage and also stole six bases.

And he was even better in Orange Empire Conference play for the Lasers in 2023.

He batted .308 in conference action with two doubles and eight RBI.

Madole also had a team-best .427 on base percentage in OEC play.

The former Huntington Beach High standout had 12 multi-hit games, including nine in conference.

In the 2022 season, Madole finished with six doubles, three triples, one home run and 21 RBI.
