Irvine Valley's men's tennis team improved its record to 3-0 in the Orange Empire Conference and 4-1 overall with an easy 8-1 victory at Orange Coast on Tuesday afternoon.
IVC captured all three doubles matches and five of six singles contests.
The Lasers, ranked No. 1 in the state, have won their last two conference matches the score of 8-1 after starting the OEC with a tough 5-4 victory over No. 2 Riverside.
In doubles play to start, IVC's top team of Philip Neuman and Steven Anderson battled for a win. The freshman duo won, 8-6.
At No. 2 doubles, IVC's team of freshman Hunam Alajeely and sophomore Nevin McCann came out on top, 8-2, and on the third court, Irvine Valley freshman Richard Petery and sophomore Jonathan Hinkel won, 8-2.
In singles, Anderson, Alajeely, McCann, sophomore Bradley Yung and Hinkel each scored straight-set wins.
Anderson and Alajeely each won, 6-0, 6-0.
IVC plays again on Thursday, taking on Bakersfield in a non-conference match at home at 1 p.m.
