Irvine Valley's baseball team lost to Saddleback, 5-4, in 12 innings in its final game of the regular season.
IVC finished with a reccord of 18-22 overall and went 3-18 in the Orange Empire Conference.
Playoff pairings will be announced on Monday.
Saddleback won eight of nine gamed down the stretch and ended 24-16 overall and 14-7 in conference play.
The Bobcats' Cade Cerone hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game.
Saddleback and Irvine Valley started slowly as the game was scoreless heading into the bottom half of the fourth inning. The Bobcats broke the ice when Jacob Hudson had an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The Bobcats added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 3-0 advantage.
Irvine Valley answered back in top of the sixth with a RBI single by freshman catcher Caleb Caparco to make it a 3-1 game.
And after Saddleback made it a 4-1 lead with a run in the bottom of the inning with a run, IVC made its move.
The Lasers tied the game at 4-4 with a two-run double by sophomore center fielder Brandon Abernathy and then a Saddleback error that allowed another to score.
Both squads had chances over the next five innings - bases loaded for both teams, but the winning run came home on the home run by Cerone in the 12th.
Irvine Valley finished with 13 hits as a team on the day. Sophomore left fielder Sam Tucci went 4 for 5 with a walk and a run scored, freshman right fielder John Uchytil was 3 for 5 at the plate and Abernathy went 2 for 6 with two RBI and a run scored for the Lasers.
Sophomore third baseman and pitcher Lucas Scott took the loss for IVC. His record went to 1-3 overall.
