Irvine Valley sophomore right-handed pitcher Andres Hernandez has committed to NCAA Division II Biola University in the Pacific West Conference.
The two-year player for IVC out of Northwood High, appeared in nine games as a freshman in 2025 and then made 18 appearances with five starts on the hill this past spring in 2026.
As a freshman in 2025, he finished with a record of 2-1 in relief, throwing 13.2 innings.
This past spring, Hernandez went 3-4 with one save in 54.2 innings.
He struck out 33 batters and had an ERA of 4.12.
Hernandez defeated Grossmont, LA Valley and Orange Coast and picked up a save against Long Beach to start the year with four scoreless innings.
He is headed to a Biola program that ended with a record of 26-26 this past season and went 22-22 in the PacWest.
