Women's soccer team gets back at it with win at Santa Ana

Irvine Valley's women's soccer team dominated in its Orange Empire Conference match at Santa Ana on Tuesday.

The Lasers out-shot the Dons, 24-1.

But it was still close until the end.

Freshman forward Paige Shanahan scored in the 81st minute off of an assist from sophomore forward Kuuipo Laumatia a to give IVC a victory.

Shanahan had a team-high four shots on goal in the contest.

IVC picked up its first win in conference play.

The Lasers moved back into the OEC race and moved their record to 7-3 overall and 1-2 in conference.

Sophomore goalie Joanna Valdez did not have to make a save on the day.

Irvine Valley faces a tough Cypress team on Friday at 3 p.m.
