Irvine Valley's men's basketball team is back in action on Friday night in a key Orange Empire Conference match-up.
The Lasers take on No. 15 in the state Santa Ana at 5 p.m.
Santa Ana (16-2 overall) has won two straight. The Dons defeated Riverside, 64-62, on Wednesday on the road.
Aaron De Santiago finished with 14 points, three assists and two steals and Illinois Bidima Jemminez had 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.
On the season, De Santiago averages 17.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.
Cameron Swist is averaging 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.22 assists and Joshua Garland averages 10.9 points and 4.5 rebounds a game.
Irvine Valley enters Friday's contest with a mark of 13-6 overall and 3-2 in the OEC.
Irvine Valley is coming off of a 79-60 win over Orange Coast in a road conference game on Wednesday.
IVC led at Orange Coast, 37-27, at the half and then out-scored the Pirates, 42-33, in the second half for the 19-point win.
Irvine Valley was paced by freshman center Zeno Calastas, who had his best game of the year.
The 6-9 Calastas finished with 15 points, 12 rebounds and one block.
Freshman guard Ahmad Alhammouri added 14 points, five rebounds and four assists in the Laser win.
Sophomore guard Sam Meza-Tallada also had 14 points and contributed eight rebounds and three assists and sophomore wing Yanis Aldeguer finished with 11 points, five rebounds and four steals for the Lasers.
Irvine Valley plays again next Wednesday at home, hosting No. 1 in the state Fullerton at 5 p.m.
