The Irvine Valley men's soccer team scored four goals in the first 16:21 of the match and went on to beat Saddleback, 5-3, on the road Friday in an Orange Empire Conference contest.
The win improved IVC's record to 4-4-0 overall and 2-0-0 in conference play.
Sophomore Armin Tehrani scored the Lasers first three goals (1:33, 9:32 and 11:19) and freshman forward Andrew Roldan added a goal in in the 17th minute off an assist from Tehrani to put IVC ahead, 4-0.
The goals were Tehrani's fourth, fifth and sixth of the season. It was Roldan's fifth score.
Saddleback pulled a goal back just before the end of the first half to make it 4-1 at the break.
And the Bobcats scored in the 61st minute to make it a 4-2 game.
But the Lasers scored in the 78th minute on a goal by freshman forward Adam Scales to put the contest away.
Irvine Valley freshman goalie Sansiro Murata ended up making five saves in the match.
IVC plays again next Tuesday in a conference match at Santa Ana at 3 p.m.
