The Irvine Valley men's soccer team fell, 2-1, in a tough Orange Empire Conference match against Cypress at home on Tuesday.
The Lasers scored the first goal from sophomore defender Tristan Amezcua in the 63rd minute off of a cross and then a deflection.
IVC had other chances, but Cypress scored the fina two goals of the game, getting shots in from Frank Troya in the 71st minute and Isaac Morales in the 74th minute to take the victory.
Irvine Valley's record went to 11-7-0 overall and 8-3-0 in conference play.
Cypress improved to 10-3-5 overall and 6-2-3 in the OEC.
