June 30, 2026Irvine Valley sophomore baseball player Andres Hernandez is headed to NCAA Division II Biola University. The right-handed pitcher appeared in 27 games for the Lasers over two seasons and won three contests with a save in 2026. -
Women's beach player Nikki Korneff off to Hope International
June 28, 2026Irvine Valley sophomore Nikki Korneff, who played both indoor and beach volleyball for the Lasers, has committed to NAIA Hope International University in Fullerton. Korneff spent two seasons with both indoor and beach for IVC. -
Flag football star Akayla Chaple commits to Azusa Pacific
June 25, 2026Irvine Valley starting quarterback Akayla Chaple has committed to Azusa Pacific University to continue her flag football career. She helped IVC to an Orange Empire Conference co-championship and the OEC tourney title. -
Alumni Report: Barett Nolan shines in last season at St. Mary's
June 24, 2026Former Irvine Valley star beach volleyball player Barett Nolan had quite a spring season for NCAA Division I St. Mary's. The 5-10 graduate student had a record of 20-5 this past season, starting on the fifth court for St. Mary's. -

June 22, 2026A standout on an off the court, Irvine Valley's Jonathan Hinkel is headed to Cal Lutheran to continue his athletic and academic journey, Hinkel, a captain, helped IVC to two straight state titles. He also earned awards for his leadership. -
Alumni Report: Jackson Snitko named Academic All-District
June 18, 2026Jackson Snitko's consistency in the Chico State baseball lineup was matched by his work in the classroom. The former Irvine Valley standout and Wildcat first baseman was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. -
IVC star Philip Neuman picked a National ITA player of the year
June 16, 2026Irvine Valley freshman men's tennis player Philip Neuman was recently named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association 3C2A player of the year. Neuman helped lead IVC to a state title and won the men's singles title in Ojai. -
Irvine Valley athletics finishes 43rd in the Ron Case Cup
June 14, 2026The Lasers ended the year with ??? points with men's tennis winning a state title and women's basketball reaching the state tourney. The award is presented by the National Alliance of Two-Year Collegiate Athletic Administrators. -
Alumni Report: Nick Madole shines for NCAA Division II Biola
June 12, 2026Former Irvine Valley standout Nick Madole had a solid season for Biola. The senior played in 39 games and started 24 contests for the Eagles, who finished with a record of 26-26. He batted .295 with 28 hits, 26 runs and 16 RBI. -
Soccer player Nikki MacDonald is headed to Missouri Valley
June 09, 2026Two-year Irvine Valley starter Nikki MacDonald has committed to NAIA Missouri Valley College. MacDonald played in 39 matches with 35 starts for the Lasers and ended her IVC career with 10 goals and 12 assists for 32 points. -
Flag football player Crystal Cervantes commits to Redlands
June 07, 2026Irvine Valley women's flag football player Crystal Cervantes has committed to the University of Redlands. She is the third player from the Lasers headed to the Bulldogs and fourth player overall headed to a four-year school. -
Tennis 3C2A doubles and team champion McCann off to Linfield
June 06, 2026Irvine Valley starter on the two-time defending state championship men's team, Nevin McCann, has committed to NCAA Division II Linfield in Oregon. McCann also won the state doubles title this year with Bradley Yung. -
Said and Hinkel earn OEC Character Champion Awards
June 05, 2026The Orange Empire Conference recently announced its 2026 Character Champion Award winners recognizing two student-athletes and Irvine Valley tennis player Jonathan Hinkel was named the men's award winner. -
Defensive player of the year Williams headed to Barton State
June 04, 2026Irvine Valley women's sophomore basketball player Kivonni Wiliams has committed to NCAA Division II Barton State in North Carolina. The star out of Oak Hils HIgh had a special season for the Lasers over the 2025-26 campaign. -
Men's tennis fills up the ITA singles, doubles and team rankings
June 03, 2026The final singles, doubles and overall team rankings were released earlier this week by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and Irvine Valley was honored across the board. The Lasers won their second state title in a row. -
Basketball's Gianna DeForest commits to College of Saint Mary
June 02, 2026Irvine Valley had another women's basketball player commit to a four-year school. Two-year standout Gianna DeForest is headed to NAIA Saint Mary in Nebraska. She was named second team al-conference this past season. -
The 2026-27 Irvine Valley men's basketball schedule is released
June 01, 2026Irvine Valley will have a slew of home games early on, including hosting its IVC Classic Nov. 5-6 with teams including Canyons, Ventura and Cerritos. The Lasers start Orange Empire Conference action Jan. 6, 2027 at Cypress. -
2026-27 Women's basketball team schedule is announced
May 31, 2026Irvine Valley, which made the 3C2A State tourney last season, and won the Orange Empire Conference, snapping Orange Coast's three titles in a row, starts with a home game on Halloween on Oct. 31 at home against Palomar. -
Four IVC players are named ITA college tennis All-Americans
May 30, 2026Star Irvine Valley men's tennis players Philip Neuman and Steven Anderson have been named Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Americans. The duo helped IVC win a state title and Neuman captured the state singles crown. -
Beach volleyball team holds end of year get together
May 29, 2026Irvine Valley finished the 2026 recently and had an end of the year get together in Huntington Beach. The Lasers went 5-9 in the Orange Empire Conference, won four of its last 10 matches and had one pair named all-conference. -

May 28, 2026Former Irvine Valley standout first baseman Jackson Snitko had a solid season at Chico State. The two-year starter at IVC batted .292 on the year and helped the Wildcats to a record of 26-24. He is playing summer ball in Illinois. -
Star basketball player Matt Mowers is headed to Rogers State
May 27, 2026Irvine Valley two-year men's basketball starter and two-year all-Orange Empire Conference first-team player Matt Mowers has committed to NCAA Division II Rogers State in Oklahoma. Rogers State went 21-11 overall last season. -
Conference MVP soccer player Cristian Sanchez to Concordia
May 26, 2026Irvine Valley sophomore standout midfielder Cristian Sanchez has committed to NCAA Division II Concordia University in Irvine. He had a special two seasons playing at IVC, including helping the Lasers to an OEC title in 2025. -
Flag football team finishes No. 23 in country in final ranking
May 25, 2026Irvine Valley, which had a record of 15-4 overall, won its final six games, captured the Orange Empire Conference title and OEC Tournament championship, comes in at No. 23 in the nation in the one of the last rankings of the year. -
Men's basketball player Ben Starks commits to Western Oregon
May 24, 2026Irvine Valley 7-0 post player Ben Starks, who red-shirted this past season, is headed to play at NCAA Division II Western Oregon University. Out of San Clemente High, he played in 19 games for the Lasers in the 2024-25 year. -
OEC Flag football MVP Maia Helmar headed to Cal Poly SLO
May 21, 2026The star of the Orange Empire Conference flag football season, Irvine Valley freshman wide receiver and safety Maia Helmar is headed to NCAA Division I Ca Poly San Luis Obispo. Helmar helped lead IVC to the OEC tourney title. -
Lacy and Hinkel selected as Character Champion award winners
May 18, 2026Sophomore women's flag football player Mia Lacy and sophomore men's tennis player Jonathan Hinkel have been selected as Irvine Valley's annual Character Champion award winners. Hinkel also captured it for the conference. -
Flag football standout Marisol Gongora is off to Redlands
May 17, 2026Irvine Valley, which was one of the first squads to start a program in the state in 2025, had another player commit to a four-year college. Sophomore wide receiver and defensive back Marisol Gongora is headed to Redlands. -
Men's soccer players represented at scholarship ceremony
May 16, 2026Several men's soccer players were recognized at the annual Irvine Valley Scholarship Awards Ceremony in Hart Gymnasium on Friday morning, celebrating hard work, discipline and athletic and academic success for the Lasers. -
Women's indoor volleyball schedule released for 2026 season
