Women's basketball team ranked No. 25 in first state poll

Irvine Valley's women's basketball team is ranked No. 25 in the first California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCWBCA) State Top 25 poll of the 2025-26 season.

Irvine Valley finished with a record of 16-14 last season, went 7-5 in conference and reached the second round of the So. Cal. Regional Playoffs.

The Lasers, under second-year head coach Claire Gocke, open the season on Saturday at Palomar at 5 p.m.

Irvine Valley is led by returning wiings Symantha Barnett and Alexis Price.

Barnett was named second team all-Orange Empire Conference last season.
