Women's basketball team up to No. 4 in So. Cal. after big win

Irvine Valley's women's basketball team is up top seventh in the state and No. 4 in Southern California this week in the latest RPI after knocking off Saddleback, 65-49, last Wednesday at home.

The top seven are Mt. San Antonio, San Joaquin Delta, Laney, Moorpark, Orange Coast, Folsom Lake and Irvine Valley.

The Lasers have a record of 20-4 heading into tonight's Orange Empire Conference game against Riverside at home at 7 p.m.

It is sophomore night for the Lasers and they will be honoring Alexis Price, Symantha Barnett, Kivonni Williams, Gianna DeForest and Neryah Lokeni before the game.

Irvine Valley is just a half game back (because of a bye) of Saddleback for first place in the conference.

Saddleback, IVC, Orange Coast and Cypress are all vying for the title.

Irvine Valley closes out its regular season home schedule on Thursday against Orange Coast at 5 p.m.
